Freckles and Flora is a small nursery set in countryside just outside Thirsk, North Yorkshire. Producing mainly unusual herbaceous perennials and interesting annuals from seed or stockbeds on site, plants are grown in peat free compost and raised with care until they are ready for sale, in varying pot sizes, bare root perennials will be available in the future. Unfortunately the nursery is not open to visitors and is mail order only, Freckles and Flora is attending a variety of plant fairs locally please see our blog page for more information. Stock beds on site are where many of the plants listed on the website are propagated from.

General assistant to Henrietta, Pringle enjoys landscaping much of the site by digging holes and spends much of her time sunbathing while your orders are picked and packed.
Henrietta is a horticulturist trained at the renowned Beth Chatto gardens she has spent her early career working at a variety of nurseries, garden centres and gardens both private and public. Her real passion is for propagation, using traditional methods. Opening a small mail order nursery has been her dream for the last few years and she works single handed to produce a wide variety of plants which are less readily available.
